IMPORTANT: Junior archers (those under the age of 18) must be accompanied at all times by an adult who is responsible for them when at the club field and when we shoot indoors. A parent or guardian must also be a member of the club; they do not have to be a shooting member as social memberships are available.

As a junior archer you will be encouraged to shoot in local competitions. Junior archers are divided into groups according to age (under 12, under 14, under 16 and under 18) so you will only be competing against other boys or girls close to your own age. The distances you will shoot are also based on your age.

    Junior Six Gold End Badge
GNAS awards a six gold end badge for shooting all six arrows of one end in the gold whilst shooting a round at the required distance. The distance at which you can claim depends on your age. You can only be awarded the six gold end badge once.

    Classification Badges
GNAS run a classification scheme based on sores for a round. The classifications are 3rd Class, 2nd Class, 1st Class, Junior Bowman and Junior Master Bowman. To obtain a classification you need to shoot three qualifying scores for that class during the year. You can only qualify for each class once and cannot claim the lower class badge after achieving a higher class badge,
